As a versatile drummer, Cédric Affre has played and recorded with different artists in many different styles since 1996. After graduating from the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood (CMDL) in 2004, Cédric began performing at festivals such as La Défense Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz, Nice Jazz, Montreal, many concerts all over the world : Europe, China, Russia, Canada, Africa, etc.
He is currently playing with American singer Demi Evans, a collaboration that started in 2006. Cedric is also playing with Soul Cages Trio (w/Yannick Robert & Gilles Coquard) a jazz-fusion band in which he coarrange and co-produce. Recent collaborations include recording/composing/arranging with French progressive rock band Orion 2.0, recording with pop-rock French singer/composer Random Koslow, and a full set recording for an upcoming album with French rap artist KoHndo.
Cédric has played during 10 years with guitarist/composer Pierrejean Gaucher (3 albums and touring) and has collaborated with legendary jazz-funk band Cortex, Ukrainian pianist Dimitri Naïditch and so many more. As a state graduate, Cédric teaches in the « conservatoire » from beginning level to up and coming pro level.
