We are extremely proud to sign Jay Ovittore to the Collision Drumsticks Roster! We are thrilled to welcome Jay as a Cruise level Collision artist. Jay plays with 5A Collision Drumsticks.
Jay is an incredible ambassador for the Collision brand and fully endorses our products,
stating:⠀ ⠀

“Currently, I am playing the 5AR. I use them for the extended reach, especially post shoulder surgery, it helps keep me healthy while hitting hard. I really love the way the 5AR feels in my hands. It is weighted perfectly for me and the extra length doesn’t feel awkward. It feels like a natural extension of me. So, I would really recommend you grab a pair of Collision Drumsticks and find your natural extension. You won’t be disappointed.”

About Jay:

I fell in love with drums as a 6 year old listening to Stewart Copeland on Reggatta De Blanc. My Uncle saw me air drumming to Copeland and called my Dad to tell him to buy me some drums. I think it’s what he saw in my eyes, the pure love of rhythm. I had a very supportive family. So I got some drums and by age 14 I was playing shows doing original music just outside of NYC, in NJ. By the time the 90’s rolled around, I moved to NC and started playing for a band called Misplaced Aggression. After several years with that project and some more bands in between I joined The 5Ls and opened for Nonpoint, Clutch, 3 Days Grace and a host of other national acts. I was rocking GMS drums and Paiste cymbals.

Fast forward to 2018. I got together with Adam Cody and Holyroller was born. We just wrote and wrote until we found the right lineup. We released an EP and then COVID happened…but we just kept writing and the EP grew legs and landed us a label deal with Black Doomba Records. We will be releasing the debut album this summer and playing out in support of it. It is Doom/Stoner/Psych metal.

I also released an album this year with Last to Speak, which is more in the vain of Primus meets Faith No More meets Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I look forward to seeing where my Collision drumsticks take me next.
