Aerosmith’s Joey Kramer Set for Hollywood Bowl Comeback Shows

Drumming News :

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer looks set to reunite with his bandmates for their upcoming ‘California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends’ concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 29 and November 1, 2026.

The band’s official promotional photograph features Kramer alongside Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford, hinting at a possible reunion of the classic line-up. However, his participation has yet to be officially confirmed.

Kramer, a founding member of Aerosmith since 1970, has not performed live with the band since 2020. John Douglas subsequently took over drumming duties for their remaining Deuces Are Wild residency shows and the three dates completed on the ill-fated Peace Out: The Farewell Tour.

Aerosmith retired from touring in 2024 after Tyler fractured his larynx, forcing the cancellation of their farewell tour.

The two Hollywood Bowl shows will feature a star-studded line-up, including The Black Crowes, Heart, Run-DMC, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Duff McKagan, Tom Morello, Chad Smith, Jerry Cantrell and Nuno Bettencourt, alongside the full line-up of Guns N’ Roses.

With further special guests and surprise appearances expected, the concerts will mark Aerosmith’s first live performances in three years — and could see Kramer return to the stage with the band for the first time in six years.
