The Performance Series is handcrafted in Oxnard, California from 100% North American Hard Rock Maple. These drums utilize DW’s groundbreaking shell construction and drum hardware to deliver you a complete instrument.
North American Maple Shells
All Performance Series™ shells are built with DW’s patented HVX™ technique, which features 100% Maple plies with grains oriented in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal patterns for low, punchy fundamentals.
Bearing Edge
HVX™ shells are precision-cut with 45-degree (toms) and 60-degree (bass and snare) edges. These edges provide tonality and sustain from your toms, and depth and punch from your bass and snare.
Finishes
From FinishPly™ to hand-sprayed lacquer or satin oil, all DW kits can be customized with finishes to make it yours.
Shell Sizes
Sizing helps players emphasize or control tonal qualities, while providing a visual aesthetic for musical genres.
Hardware Options
DW drum hardware keeps shells tuned and true, but also adds to the aesthetic of your Performance Series setup.
