About Bryan:
Bryan Carter, an exceptionally talented musician, has not only demonstrated instrumental and compositional maturity beyond his age but has also carved out a multifaceted career as a drummer, vocalist, composer, and bandleader. Graduating from The Juilliard School, he has collaborated with notable artists, toured globally with his band “The Swangers,” and made significant contributions to award-winning musicals. Beyond his musical prowess, Carter is an advocate for inclusivity, creating safe spaces for young musicians as a founding teaching artist for Jazz at Lincoln Center, and his upcoming orchestral work, “Rustin in Renaissance,” chronicles the life of civil rights hero Bayard Rustin, showcasing his commitment to portraying overlooked heroes.
