Pete Drummond is an Australian Session Drummer, Composer & Multi-instrumentalist. He is also a passionate Drum Educator and has developed a unique drum practice course site (Drum DNA.com). He has performed alongside Virgil Donati, Thomas Lang, Mike Mangini & Dave Weckl at drumming festivals and has conducted countless masterclasses and clinics.

Pete tours extensively year-round at music festivals and major venues in Australia and internationally. In 2008 Pete was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame as a member of legendary Australian Pop/Rock band Dragon (whose ARIA number 1 & top 10 hits include April Sun In Cuba, Are You Old Enough & Rain).

Pete has played on countless top-selling Australian recordings, performed live with a multitude of artists, and played on numerous jingles, Ads & Film soundtracks (inc. Sacha Barren-Cohn’s film ‘Bruno’).

With Dragon, he has shared billing alongside Toto, Bryan Adams, Simply Red, Roxette, Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham and many others. Pete’s soundtrack compositions have aired in over 40 countries. As a session drummer, Pete has played on countless recordings including 1 selling Australian albums.

Pete’s solo releases range from instrument fusion to vocal pop, and he is constantly involved in numerous collaborations including his current Progressive Rock project ‘Light Beyond Sleep’.

In 2021 Pete appeared on the cover of ‘Drumhead’ magazine. He has been featured many times in Drumscene and other music magazines. Pete also appears on Hudson Music’s worldwide video releases, ‘The Ultimate Drummer’s Weekend’ 2003 (with Dom and Friends) & TUDW 2004 (Featured Cover Artist).
