To the regret of many, the Drumcraft brand disappeared from the market a few years ago. She is now returning with series 3, 4 and 6 via Musikhaus Thomann.

In 2008, DrumCraft was presented for the first time at the Musikmesse Frankfurt. Since its market launch, the drum brand has been the talk of the town and, thanks to its good price-performance ratio, has enjoyed rapidly growing popularity. The top-of-the-line Series 8 received the “Red Dot Design Award” in 2010. A few years later, in the mid-2010s, the then brand owner GEWA music decided to continue Drumcraft exclusively on the Asian market.

Three series in the portfolio: 3, 4 and 6:

The driving force behind the recent launch of DrumCraft is Musikhaus Thomann – the focus is once again on high quality and a style that is rooted in German engineering and design. Europe’s largest music store now offers three series of DrumCraft drums: Series 3, Series 4 and the flagship Series 6. Two series of hardware are also offered: the Series 6 and Series 4. The respective kits can be assembled from individual drums.

With the Series 3, Drumcraft offers beginners and advanced players a ready-to-play, five-piece kit. According to the manufacturer, the 7-ply poplar shells with a 45-degree edge and 6.8 mm wall thickness should offer a precise and full tone, with the classic DrumCraft brackets and hardware ensuring reliability and robustness.

Drumcraft’s middle class is characterized by the following features:

Mahogany-poplar hybrid shell, seven-ply construction (3 plies of poplar inside and 2 outer plies of mahogany each). Wall Thickness: 5.6mm Bearing edge: 45 degrees Selectable finishes: Sherwood Green Fade, Platinum Sparkle Burst, Cardiac Burst, Cream Mocca Burst and Bright Arabica Fade.

series 6:

The flagship series is intended to offer the ambitious drummer kits with a distinctive and intense, rich tone and pronounced attack. The name Drumcraft should be synonymous with precision-made and carefully crafted drums, which the Series 6 finds its perfection. The shell material is a walnut-maple hybrid, eight-ply with 6.4 mm wall thickness, and with a 45-degree bearing edge; Four finishes can be selected:

Satin Black, Satin Natural, Scottish white burst, Black to purple fade.

The brand promise:

It is said that Drumcraft drums should inspire their players every time they sit behind them: whether for fun in the rehearsal room with a performance in front of 10,000 people. We were able to convince ourselves of the latter at the »Lord of the Lost« show with drummer Nik Kahl; Nik is playing his new kit from series 6 on the current support tour for Iron Maiden.
