Rock and football collided at Lumen Field on October 25, 2026, as Tool drummer Danny Carey and John Tempesta of The Cult and formerly White Zombie joined the Seattle Seahawks’ Blue Thunder drumline for a special pregame performance.
The two rock drummers performed alongside the stadium’s official percussion ensemble ahead of Seattle’s Week 7 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Both wore custom Seahawks jerseys featuring No. 12 in honor of the team’s passionate fanbase.
The appearance was particularly interesting for Carey, who grew up just outside Kansas City and is an avowed Chiefs fan.
Despite Carey’s hometown allegiance, the Seahawks came away with a 20-3 victory, capping off an eventful afternoon at Lumen Field.
