I’m thrilled and honored to have written my first article for Modern Drummer in its October issue! As DNN Publisher, I had the opportunity to feature my friend Mike Mangini, whom I’ve gotten to know over the past few years and represented as his agent for nearly three years following his departure from Dream Theater.
Titled “In Perpetual Motion,” the article captures Mike’s relentless drive and remarkable versatility as one of today’s most accomplished drummers. We discuss his joining Godsmack, his drum setup, how he achieves incredible drum sounds in his home studio, and one of his greatest passions: teaching.
