A special live performance at Nublu in New York City and a giveaway contest mark the release.

After years of moving between different countries and contexts, Pauline Ró seamlessly weaves a variety of diverse experiences together on her debut solo album, “La Chispa” (The Spark). The record combines the musician’s South American roots with a musical journey that connects Buenos Aires, New York and other locations—bringing her musical influences and her creative spark together… and igniting them both.

In addition to being her first solo project, “La Chispa” marks a new direction for the percussionist, vocalist and composer who graduated from the prestigious National University of Arts in Argentina and The New School in New York City and regularly performs with the Frank Zappa tribute band, Furious Bongos, as well as the all-female salsa band, Lulada Club.

While “La Chispa’s” showcases Pauline’s impressive vocal talents as well as her advanced skills on vibraphone, drums and percussion, her compositions stand out by incorporating elements of classical music and contemporary jazz, rock and salsa along with authentic South American sounds to create a fresh, infectious mash-up of melodies, rhythms, genres and cultures.

To celebrate the album’s release, Pauline is hosting a special record release party in conjunction with Extranjero Enterprises at Nublu in New York on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at 7:00 PM.

TRX Cymbals, Marimba One and BlueHaus Mallet Shop are simultaneously sponsoring a special giveaway contest for “La Chispa” CDs, Marimba One Jason Marsalis vibraphone mallets, a TRX 10” Lightning Splash cymbal and other prizes on the @paulinesounds Instagram page.

“La Chispa” is available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer and Bandcamp. For more information, visit www.paulineromusica.com.
