Biography:
Flavio Mezzodi, born in Solothurn in 1977, made his first steps behind the drums with his father at a young age. Between 1992 and 1996 he attended his first lessons at the Biberist music school with Andy David. The first success was not long in coming: as early as 1994, Flavio drummed his way to first place in the water authority music competition. To date, various drum workshops/master classes have been held at, among others, Joe Travers & Dweezilla Bootcamp 2011/Zappa Plays Zappa, Peter Haas/Mekong Delta, Jacques-François Juskowiak, Olivier Lacau, Norbert Lehmann/Dante Agostini Drum School Paris, European Agostini Alpin Drumworkshop in Wengen/Switzerland, Klangserve 2009/Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz – Cantonal Board of Trustees for Cultural Promotion under the direction of Mr. Daniel Ott & Prof. Dr. Hans Schneider attended.
During his music studies from 1998 to 2004 at the Dante Agostini Drum School Paris resp. Branch CH in Olten, managed by Mr. Norbert Lehmann. lic. As a certified drum teacher D.E.A finally graduated with a diploma – 1st Prix avec Félicitation – he has been working as a drum teacher at several music schools since 2000.
Furthermore, drum clinics & workshops were held with Wim Dykstra (CH/NL) and Andy David (CH), as presented at the Musik Produktiv Messe Schweiz 2011 for Pearl Drums.
Since 2013 he has been a permanent member of the band KROKUS. Currently a permanent member of the band GOTTHARD since 2021.
In the last 15 years, more than 800 shows have been played on various stages throughout Europe and the USA with various national and international artists. Among others with bands like KROKUS, FLORIAN AST, STEFANIE HEINZMANN.
