Meinl Percussion is heading into 2026 with one of its most diverse and globally inspired product releases to date, introducing a wide range of new instruments, accessories, and artist signature models designed for traditional, contemporary, and experimental players alike. From ergonomic performance solutions to deeply rooted folkloric instruments, the new lineup reinforces Meinl’s commitment to craftsmanship, cultural authenticity, and modern playability.

Among the standout additions is the Professional Low Cajon Stand (TMCAJ-S), created for traditional cajon players seeking better posture and comfort. Its low-profile, sturdy design allows performers to sit upright without sacrificing traditional technique, making it ideal for extended studio sessions or live performances. Learn more HERE
Hand percussion sees significant expansion with new natural-sound shakers, including the Bendo Bird Shaker (BI5) and Pangi Waterfall Shaker (WA5). Each features 40 natural seed shells and produces organic, nature-inspired textures—bright, bird-like chatter from the Bendo seeds and deep, cascading tones from the Pangi seeds—perfect for acoustic, ambient, and meditative settings.

Celebrating Afro-Caribbean traditions, Meinl introduces handcrafted Barriles de Bomba in 14″ Primo and 16″ Buleador sizes, alongside a full range of Pandero de Plena drums in Requinto, Punteador, and Seguidor formats. Built from Chamchuri wood and fitted with traditional heads and chrome hardware, these instruments honor Puerto Rico’s musical heritage while offering durability for modern performance.

The 2026 release also brings an impressive expansion of Artist Series instruments. Highlights include new 11 3/4″, 11″, & 12 1/2″ Alexandra Alban Signature Congas and Bongos in vibrant Sunrise Yellow, 11″, 11 3/4″, 12 1/2″ Diego Camacho Signature Congas and Bongos in Pearl Grey mango wood, and the 11 3/4″ & 12″ Sammy García “La Conga Melódica” Signature Series, designed for melodic interplay across conga and tumba sizes. Afro-Cuban rhythms are further represented with Patricio “El Chino” Díaz Signature Bronze Timbales, delivering classic cascara articulation and powerful projection.

Additional percussion tools round out the lineup, including the Low Pitch Percussion Block (MPE4BK), Gravity Bell (MGB) for drum dampening and metal effects, newly tuned Mountable Salsa Cowbells C-Tuning SMBC & 7 1/2″ Mountable Salsa Cowbell, G-Tuning, and a pair of 2″ Aluminum Samba Beaters built for authentic Brazilian grooves.

For hand drum enthusiasts, Meinl introduces new Artisan Edition Doumbeks both Mosaic Blue Lagoon – AEED5 & White Pearl – AEED6, including the Mosaic Blue Lagoon model and the Daood Debu Signature Edition, both crafted in Egypt with aluminum shells and intricate mother-of-pearl inlays. Rounding out the release are Professional African Style Djembes PROADJ5-L & PROADJ5-M, carved from solid mahogany and fitted with hand-selected goat heads and traditional Mali weave tuning.
