Drumming News :
Spanish drumming phenomenon El Estepario Siberiano has announced a major new chapter in his career, revealing in a special YouTube video that he has officially joined Pearl Drums. The announcement came during his 5 Million Subscribers Special, a milestone he traditionally marks with important updates for his fans. The move represents a significant shift for the online star, who has amassed more than 16 million followers across all platforms and has become one of the most recognizable drummers in the digital era.
In the video posted on November 12, 2025, Estepario began by expressing heartfelt gratitude to his fans, emphasizing that their support is the foundation of his success. “I’m not here because I post videos,” he said. “I’m here because you guys watch those videos and like those videos. Everything that I own and everything that I have accomplished, I don’t owe to myself—I owe to you.”
When it came time to reveal his new partnership, Estepario made it clear that his decision to leave Varus drums was entirely personal and based on creative trust rather than commercial incentive. “After 5 million subscribers and 16.2 million followers, I have the opportunity to play whatever I want—for free,” he explained. “So this decision is based purely on freedom. There is no other factor here than my taste and my trust.” He praised Pearl for its comprehensive quality and craftsmanship, noting that the company’s consistency across drums, hardware, and pedals allows him to rely on a single brand for all his needs.
He also credited some of his biggest musical inspirations—Joey Jordison, Chad Smith, Dennis Chambers, Jeff Porcaro, and Miguel Lamas—all of whom have played Pearl drums at various points in their careers. “The performance that made me want to become a drummer was Joey Jordison performing a drum solo, rotating in the air—that happened with Pearl Drums,” he said. “So my decision makes plenty of sense.”
Estepario was quick to clarify that his departure from Varus Drums, his former drum company, came without conflict. “My relationship with Varus has always been great and it still is,” he told viewers. “No beef, no bad feelings coming from me or from them.” He announced that his custom Varus kits, used in many of his viral YouTube performances, will be signed and sold to fans, giving them a chance to own a piece of his personal drumming history.
In discussing his new setup, Estepario revealed his strong preference for metal snares, saying, “I’m going to disappoint most of you, but I am a metal guy. Don’t ask me why, but I don’t find wooden snares interesting. There’s something about metal that makes me go crazy.” His collection now includes multiple Pearl Reference and Sensitone brass snares, along with an aluminum UltraCast model, all chosen for their tone and response. His main recording setup features Pearl’s Masters Maple Pure drums, a choice inspired by drummers he admires, including Spain’s own Miguel Lamas. “I always wanted white drums and I never had them,” he said, describing his new kit with a grin. “It just makes everything look a little more classy, doesn’t it?”
Throughout the video, Estepario’s tone was equal parts excitement and gratitude, underscoring how deeply he values his audience and the community that has grown around his work. The partnership with Pearl Drums, he said, is not about prestige or endorsement, but about aligning with a brand he truly believes in. “With Pearl, I have everything I need—pedals, hardware, snares, kits—all done right,” he said. “And now, I can finally show you how these toys sound in real life.”
The announcement marks a defining moment for a drummer who built his career entirely online through raw talent, charisma, and an unrelenting work ethic. For El Estepario Siberiano, joining one of the world’s most respected drum brands isn’t just a business move—it’s the sound of a dream evolving into its next great rhythm.
