Drumming News :
Peter Criss, best known as the original drummer and “Catman” of KISS, has announced his first solo album in 18 years. The self-titled record, Peter Criss, will be released on December 19, 2025, marking his most rock-driven solo effort to date.
Described as a “return to form,” the album features collaborations with John 5, Billy Sheehan, and Paul Shaffer. According to the official Bandcamp page, all CD and digital versions include the bonus track “Hard Rock Knockers,”while vinyl editions come with a download card for the song.

Criss first revealed in April that the album was finished, telling fans, “I have my new rock and roll album coming out in the fall… we had a ball.” The release date was later confirmed in late October.
This marks Criss’s first solo release since 2007’s One for All. After retiring from touring in 2017, Criss reflected on his musical legacy, saying, “There’s less rock and roll in the world… I thought if I’m gonna do it, I gotta do it now.”
The first single, “Creepy Crawlers,” featuring John 5, offers a glimpse into the record’s heavier sound.
