Playing on a Yamaha Tour Custom maple drum set, Antonio will perform a variety of music spanning his fabled 27-year professional career, including tracks from his band Bad Hombre. Stop in early to hear, feel, and experience a wide selection of the latest Yamaha Drums products and accessories.
These clinics will provide a rare opportunity for drummers of all levels to learn directly from Antonio as he explores technique, soloing concepts, and the art of musical storytelling through motivic development on the drums. About Antonio Sanchez
Esteemed Yamaha Drums artist and four-time GRAMMY®-award winner Antonio Sanchez is an admired composer, multi-instrumentalist, mixer and producer. He has recorded and performed with prominent artists including Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Michael Brecker, Charlie Haden and Toots Thielmans.
In 2014 Sanchez’s popularity soared when he scored Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) which ended up fetching 4 Academy awards (including best picture) and for which Antonio won a GRAMMY®-award. Additional film/tv projects include EPIX network’s Get Shorty, Hippopotamus, and the upcoming Apple TV series The Studio with Seth Rogan.
