Drumming News

May 17–18, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Kane County Fairgrounds, St. Charles, IL

The rhythm returns to St. Charles this spring as the 34th Annual Chicago Drum Show takes over the Kane County Fairgrounds on May 17 and 18, 2025. Known as the largest and longest-running event of its kind in the world, the Chicago Drum Show is more than just a gear expo—it’s a full-blown celebration of drumming culture, community, and innovation.

Rock Royalty on Display: Matt Sorum’s Legendary GNR Tour Kit

This year’s headline exhibit comes courtesy of Drugan’s Drums & Guitars, who will proudly showcase Matt Sorum’s original Yamaha Rock Tour Custom drum kit—the very same set used on the Guns N’ Roses “Use Your Illusion” tour from 1991 to 1992. Gigged in 27 countries and seen by over 7 million fans, this iconic kit will be on display in the main lobby for attendees to experience up close. It’s a rare chance to witness a piece of rock history that helped define an era.
