TAMA Announces New Starclassic Performer Kit in Limited Edition Crimson Red Waterfall Finish:
TAMA has announced the addition of a new, limited-edition finish to its Starclassic Performer series. The new color is called Crimson Red Waterfall and as the name implies, the finish is a bold blend of multiple rich shades of red, which affords the kit an intriguing, high-end appearance. This look is further enhanced by the fact the finish is hand applied to each shell by a highly skilled painter, meaning no two shells look the same. Another central feature of this kit’s aesthetic is Black Nickle shell hardware, adding an additional layer of sophistication to this limited-edition color scheme. Beyond its unique visual elements, this kit features all of the popular and well-known features of the Starclassic Performer series. These include 6mm, 4ply Birch + 2 inner ply Maple tom shells, a 7mm, 5ply Birch + 2 inner ply Maple bass drum shell, Die-Cast hoops, and the Star-Cast Mounting System. The kit itself will be limited to 100 total units in North America and the snare drum (sold separately) will be limited to 200 total pieces in North America.

TAMA Announces Release of New STAGESTAR Series Kits:
TAMA has announced the release of their new, super-affordable STAGESTAR drum kits.
STAGESTAR provides a full sounding drum set with durable hardware and functional cymbals. 100% Poplar 6ply 7mm shells produce full, dynamic tones for each drum. Hardware stands feature double braced legs – Boom stand with multi-angle adjustments; snare stand with adjustable snare basket and hi-hat stand with a strong clutch that holds tight. The bass drum pedal is equipped with separate spring tension and beater angle adjustments to provide customized pedal feel, according to player preference. The 14” hi-hat and 16” crash cymbals use thicker gauge brass than is common at this price point and provide increased volume and durability. Also included with this kit is a double-braced drum throne with spindle height adjustment. This design is more secure and easier to position up/down than is a fixed bolt height adjustment. The last feature that differentiates STAGESTAR is the TAMA Omnisphere Tom Holder. It incorporates a ball/socket tom arm design for flexible positioning and secure hold. Additionally, the L-arms do not penetrate the tom shells when connected, which allows the tom shell to resonate more freely than other conventional mounting systems. TAMA’s STAGESTAR is the next generation of entry-level complete drum sets for the value-conscious consumer. It includes everything players need (except drumsticks) to get started on a full-sized drum set.

TAMA Announces New, Limited-Edition STAR Factory Vault Bird’s Eye Maple Kit:
TAMA has announced the latest addition to its premier flagship line of drums, the STAR Factory Vault Series. This brand new, 5pc STAR Maple kit delivers the same artisanship, quality, and tone as the previous STAR Factory Vault kits. As with the previous offerings, it will be produced in an extremely limited quantity. The shells are 5-ply, 5mm maple with a center core of 2mm maple. The outer play of “AAA” North American Bird’s Eye Maple delivers a highly intriguing aesthetic appeal. This look is further enhanced by a complex and contemporary Cerulean Bird’s Eye Maple Burst finish. The shell hardware appointments include Die-Cast Hoops, Quick-Lock Tom Brackets, and TAMA’s patented Super Resonant Mounting System. Pursuant to the high degree of handwork and intense precision required to make one of these kits, there will only be eight total made available to the North American market, along with just eleven matching snare drums (sold separately).

TAMA Announces New STAR Reserve Solid Japanese Cedar Snare Drum:
TAMA has announced a new addition to their STAR Reserve snare drum series, Solid Japanese Cedar, the 9th entry into the collection. This snare drum features a traditional Japanese woodworking technique called Uzukuri, which creates a three-dimensional texture and appearance on the outside of the shell. The 8mm solid Cedar shell is steam bent and fitted with matching steam bent Cedar Sound Focus Rings (reinforcement hoops) that are hand cut by skilled Japanese artisans. The Cedar shell is outfitted with (8) Low Mass STAR Lugs, 2.3mm Customized Brass Mighty Hoops and Starclassic Bell Brass Snare Wires (20-strand). The hardware specifications were chosen to complement the mellow tonal character of the shell to pull out thick, rich tones with powerful attack and dynamic sensitivity. The Uzukuri exterior shell is finished in natural oil, which highlights the attractive natural aesthetic of the Cedar wood grain.
