The Westcoast Drum Shop is hosting master classes and clinics from both Thomas Lang and Dave Elitch in celebration of the Anniversary 2022 Bash. Founded in 2020 West Coast Drum Shop is located in the same building as the previous two drum shops, Donn Bennett Drum Studio and Rudy’s Drum Shop.
On Saturday 12/10:
5:00 pm – Thomas Lang is conducting a masterclass, it is a four-hour, intensive masterclass limited to 15 people with Thomas himself. Masterclass gets you into the Thomas Lang clinic.

6:00 pm – Dave is just coming off a massive tour with Weezer, and he’s played with The Mars Volta, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, M83 The 1975, Juliette Lewis and many more.

He has helped many of the world’s best players as well as top educators ‘get out of their own way’ by being as efficient as possible in regards to conservation of motion and energy. The more we’re able to remove our bodies from the equation and let the instrument do the work, the more we can relax. The more relaxed you are, the better your time, tone and feel will be. Let’s not forget that we’re hitting wood, bronze, and mylar with sometimes a huge amount of velocity, so this conceptual/physical approach will also have a massive effect on stamina as well as shortening muscle recovery periods when performing live or in the studio.”
