The first of these new releases is the 21″ K Zildjian Projection Ride, a cymbal developed with Craig Reynolds, the drummer of Stray From The Path. Known for his powerful and dynamic drumming style, Reynolds’ influence shines through this cymbal, which features a raw, cutting bell paired with a crashable bow.
Designed to project with clarity and power, this ride is perfect for drummers who need a cymbal that offers excellent definition in loud, aggressive settings. The bold and bright sound of the bell contrasts beautifully with the smooth, crashable surface of the bow, providing drummers with the best of both worlds: piercing articulation and a crashable, musical tone.

The second new cymbal, the 7″ FX Break Bell, is part of Zildjian’s FX Family and was designed with Jay Weinberg, the drummer for Slipknot. Weinberg’s impact is evident in the design of this cymbal, which blurs the lines between bell and chime. The Break Bell features a conical cup, hammered, flanged edge, and brilliant finish, making it one of the most unique bells in the Zildjian family.
At 7 inches, this cymbal is the thinnest bell in the FX range, offering a quick, expressive response. Its sound is immediately striking, with a complex blend of overtones inspired by traditional eastern rituals and ceremonies. Whether used in heavy music applications or in need of unique, complex overtones in a more musical setting, the Break Bell is versatile enough to complement various styles and needs.
Zildjian’s two latest cymbals, the 21″ K Zildjian Projection Ride and the 7″ FX Break Bell, are perfect examples of how artist collaborations can push the boundaries of what’s possible in cymbal design. Whether you’re looking for a powerful ride that cuts through dense mixes or a bell with an ethereal, chime-like quality, these cymbals bring new dimensions to your playing, all while honoring the artistry and unique sounds of Craig Reynolds and Jay Weinberg.
