Drumming News :
Drumming News Network, proud media partner of the Chicago Drum Show (May 16th & 17th), is set to showcase a legendary piece of rock history in their booth #114: the iconic drum set of Carmine Appice. This historic kit has not been publicly displayed in over 15 years, making this a rare and highly anticipated appearance for drummers, collectors, and music fans alike.
This is the very drum set immortalized on the cover of the original release of Appice’s groundbreaking Realistic Rock instruction book. It was also used extensively during his work with Rod Stewart, both in the studio and on tour, and has appeared in multiple Rod Stewart music videos—cementing its place in rock and drumming history.
The display is made possible in association with the kit’s current owner, Donn Bennett of Donn Bennett’s Drum Vault. In an exciting opportunity for collectors, the drum set will be available for purchase during the Chicago Drum Show at a special discounted price exclusive to the event.
Attendees are encouraged to stop by booth #114 to experience this iconic instrument up close—and even step behind the kit for a photo. This may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity before the set returns to a private collection.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of this historic moment. We’ll see you at the Chicago Drum Show.
