Drumming News :
Stewart Copeland, best known as the drummer with The Police, teamed up with naturalist Martyn Stewart for “Wild Concerto.” Their album combines music with the sounds of animals, from owls and frogs to laughing hyenas.
Martyn Stewart spent decades recording wildlife across the globe, creating a vast archive of nature’s sounds—some from species now endangered or gone in the wild. Copeland transformed those recordings into a musical composition, letting animal voices lead while instruments support.
The project aims to preserve the sounds of nature and inspire people to value and protect the planet’s disappearing wildlife.
