Drumming News :
The British Drum Company (BDC) has announced several major developments in the first issue of its new quarterly newsletter, Drummin’, including a move to a new manufacturing facility and the creation of a new Special Projects Division.
BDC plans to relocate from its current Stockport facility to Trafford Park in Manchester, next door to its sister company, Drum One. The new location is expected to be fully operational by January 1, 2027.

The companies plan to create a unique destination for drummers, including a viewing platform connecting Drum One to BDC that will allow visitors to watch drums being manufactured during the week. The new facility will also provide expanded opportunities for factory tours.
BDC also announced the formation of its Special Projects Division (SPD), a new branch focused on custom engineering, collaborative designs and experimental drum projects. Led by International Sales Director Stu Warmington, SPD will explore unique builds for both drum set and marching applications, including projects incorporating historic materials.
According to BDC, the division will focus on honoring traditional British craftsmanship while continuing to push the boundaries of drum manufacturing.
The company also teased several new products expected in late 2026 and early 2027, including what it describes as unique and highly collectible instruments. More details are expected to be announced in the coming months.
