Mackenna Tolfa is breaking new ground as the first featured female drummer and DJ in Blue Man Group’s North American tour. Performing as “The Rockstar,” she takes on a central role that helps drive the show’s energy and sound.
Tolfa says the milestone is deeply meaningful, especially in terms of representation. She hopes her presence inspires young girls in the audience to see themselves on stage one day.
Her journey began with an audition in 2022, followed by performances on the group’s world tour before joining the U.S. run. Drawing on her international and stage experience, she brings a fresh, empowering dynamic to the production.
