Drumming News :

Former Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain has partnered with the British Drum Company to release the Seven Edds Limited Edition Snare Drum, the latest collector’s item from his Drum One store.
Limited to just 666 units worldwide, each 14″ x 6″ snare drum features a unique piece cut from one of McBrain’s tour-played Paiste cymbals used during Iron Maiden’s Somewhere Back in Time, The Final Frontier, and Maiden England tours between 2008 and 2012. The cymbal inserts have been hydro-blasted to preserve their original lathing, ensuring that no two drums are exactly alike.
The snare features a 10-ply shell construction consisting of nine plies of birch and one ply of birdseye maple, with a shell thickness of 5.5mm and a weight of 5.5kg.
Priced at £777, pre-orders are now open. Shipping will be completed in three production batches during August, September, and October, with allocations determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers cannot request specific edition numbers.

Because the cymbal inserts are sourced from different areas of McBrain’s original cymbals, some may display portions of logos or model markings while others may not, further adding to the individuality of each drum.
