Drumming News :
Zak Starkey, widely regarded as the only drummer capable of carrying Keith Moon’s legacy, played this DW Collector’s Series 7-piece maple drum set with The Who from 1999–2001, including the entire 2000 U.S. Tour, Teenage Cancer Trust, and the band’s legendary performance at The Concert for New York (2001)—often cited as the defining moment of The Who’s “Zak era.”
The kit can be heard on Blues to the Bush, Old Red Wine, Real Good Looking Boy, and Endless Wire, and was also used in recordings and performances with Johnny Marr & The Healers, Lightning Seeds, and alongside Kenney Jones at the Steve Marriott Tribute Show.
The set remains in excellent touring condition, showing only minor cosmetic wear. Original Remo heads are intact. Two custom unused “The Who” logo bass drum heads, signed by Zak Starkey (one also signed by Roger Daltrey), are included. All cymbals are signed by Zak Starkey.
Additional items include signed drumsticks, The Who tour itinerary books, and an original Concert for New York poster signed by Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, Zak Starkey, and Eddie Vedder.
Includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Zak Starkey and the seller.
