Made in DW’s California Custom Shop, this kit features 100% North American Maple shells with the innovative HVX (Horizontal-Vertical-Diagonal) SSC grain orientation, which DW says delivers a deep, punchy attack and a rich, warm tone.
Designed for drummers who demand versatility, the Performance Series shell pack includes 8×10″ and 9×12″ mounted toms, a 14×16″ floor tom, and a 18×22″ bass drum. These drums are built with 8 plies of Hard Rock Maple for the toms and bass drum, and 10 plies for the snare to add extra projection and cut. The kit also features 45-degree/60-degree back-cut bearing edges, which contribute to its focused sound and enhanced tuning range.
