Drumming News :
At just 22 years old, Brooke Colucci — known to her hundreds of thousands of fans online as Rock Angel — has had the kind of year most young drummers can only dream about. From high-profile gigs to major brand endorsements, 2025 has proven to be a landmark year in her rapidly ascending career.
In May, Colucci joined Godsmack frontman Sully Erna’s solo band, making her live debut with the group on a Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena, just before May 18, 2025. The performance marked a thrilling new chapter for the New York-based drummer, whose powerful blend of precision, energy, and musical maturity continues to capture attention across the rock world.
Then, in October, her momentum skyrocketed even further when she joined the rosters of Yamaha Drums, Sabian Cymbals, and Vic Firth Drumsticks.

“I already know some of you guys have noticed in my last couple of videos that there have been some changes in my setup…” she told fans on social media. “I’m so excited to let you all know that I am now a Sabian artist!!! In love with the versatility I’m able to achieve with this setup. They’re able to cut through in a live setting but still sit super well in a mix when I’m recording. I’m humbled and truly grateful to be a part of the Sabian family.”

Sabian officially welcomed her to their artist family, alongside Yamaha, who announced:
“Please join us in welcoming our newest Yamaha Artist to the family! Brooke Colucci (@rockangel_), Independent Drummer, Sully Erna Solo Project.”
Soon after, Colucci revealed her new partnership with Vic Firth:

“I’m SO STOKED to let you all know that I am now a @vicfirth artist!!! What an honor it is to be a part of the family of such an iconic company. The American Classic 3A’s are my perfect pair. I can feel the difference in my playing using these sticks and I couldn’t be happier with them.”
Colucci’s rise has been steady, driven by passion and authenticity. Her drumming journey began unexpectedly at age six, after attending a friend’s rock ’n’ roll–themed birthday party. “I got behind the kit for the first time that day,” she’s recalled in interviews — and it changed everything. Encouraged by her parents, she began lessons soon after, developing a foundation rooted in rudiments and theory.
By age 12, she launched her YouTube channel, and over the next decade built a dedicated following with hard-hitting covers of rock and metal classics. Her rendition of Tool’s “Forty Six & 2” became a viral highlight, showcasing both her technical skill and dynamic stage presence.
Recognition followed quickly. Drum! Magazine and Modern Drummer featured her as one of the “7 Female Drummers You Should Know,” and she became a fixture in the modern drumming scene.
Before joining Sully Erna’s solo project, Colucci made waves as the drummer for Plush, the all-female rock band that toured extensively and shared stages with acts like Sevendust and Till Lindemann.
Beyond her live work, Brooke continues to diversify her career — she’s created an instructional course for Drumeo, and she runs her own fashion brand, Rock Angel’s Closet, blending her love for music and design.
Her endorsements and performances this year mark more than just professional milestones — they signal her arrival as one of the most exciting young drummers in rock today.
With her talent and relentless drive, Brooke Colucci is setting a rhythm that shows no signs of slowing down. As one fan recently commented under her announcement video, “She’s not just playing drums — she’s carving her own legend.”
