A record-breaking £200,000 has been raised for local emergency services during a charity open garden weekend at the Wiltshire home of Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and his wife Annette. The event, held on 7–8 June at Middlewick House near Corsham, attracted more than 15,000 visitors.

Guests toured the grounds, met the legendary drummer, and admired Mason’s stunning collection of classic sports cars, with contributions from local Jaguar, Lotus, Ferrari, and Porsche clubs. A Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance helicopter was also on display, remaining operational throughout the weekend.

Funds raised will support the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity, which offers lifesaving medical care by air and land, and the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, which provides free home security services to vulnerable and elderly residents.

Barbara Gray, deputy chief executive of the air ambulance charity, called it “the largest event of all time,” highlighting the impressive turnout and funds raised. Organisers acknowledged traffic delays as visitors tried to leave but have apologised and promised improvements for future events.

Jennie Shaw, director of the Bobby Van Trust, expressed gratitude to the local community and noted the event’s growing success since it began in 2013: “We are already reviewing feedback to enhance the experience in 2026.”

The funds raised are enough to keep the air ambulance flying for a week and to support a full year of community safety work through the Bobby Van Trust.
