Drumming News :
Sabian has introduced two new effect cymbal tools designed for drummers looking to expand their sonic palette without going electronic: the Cymbits and the XSR Effeks Clap Stack.

Cymbits are a chain of seven 2-inch B20 bronze discs cut from Sabian’s O-Zone cymbals. Designed to be laid across cymbals, they produce a subtle sizzle and reduce sustain. On rides, they create a shimmering, shorter tone; on crashes, they offer a trashier effect. Place them in or on hi-hats for a light jingle.
Beyond cymbals, Cymbits can be mounted on tuning lugs of snares or toms with a drum key, adding a unique jingle and subtle distortion to the drum’s attack—ideal for players seeking new textures.

XSR Effeks Clap Stack is a 3-piece stack (11″, 13″, 15″) made from raw B20 bronze. Slightly curved and relaxed in shape, the stack is engineered to eliminate high-pitched resonance and recreate the short, punchy clap sound of classic 1980s drum machines. It delivers a crisp, clean, dry tone perfect for funk, hip-hop, or accent hits in modern grooves.
Both products are compact, easy to add to any setup, and reflect Sabian’s continued push for innovation in acoustic sound shaping.
