Learn the Four Pillars of Rock: Chad Smith’s “Legends of the ’70s” with Drumeo (Enroll by March 1!)

Drumming News :

On March 13th, Chad Smith and Drumeo invite you to hang with Chad for a special course experience: “Legends of the ‘70s with Chad Smith.” Enrollment closes March 1st — just four days away.

In his first course in more than 30 years, Chad pulls back the curtain on where his style really came from. The groove, the ghost notes, the fills — he’ll be the first to tell you he borrowed it all from his heroes. Now, he’s showing you how to do the same.

The course dives deep into what Chad calls the four pillars of rock drumming:

  • John Bonham – Learn to add smooth, powerful triplets to your grooves, develop real power without tension, and master musical triplet fills that feel massive — not messy.
  • Ian Paice – Build speed with control. Develop explosive single strokes, clean rolls, and the ability to add fills without losing your timing.
  • Bill Ward – Play heavy with swing. Discover how subtle hi-hat work, melodic fills, and feel can transform a repetitive groove into something musical and dynamic.
  • Keith Moon – Break free from the same three fills. Learn to create spontaneous, energetic ideas that lift a song without rushing the tempo.

Throughout the course, you’ll play along with Chad to build speed, endurance, and confidence. His goal? That you walk away with a blend of all four legends in your own playing — and maybe fall in love with drumming all over again.

If you’ve ever wondered where Chad’s sound came from, or you’re ready to study four of rock’s most influential drummers in a hands-on way, this is your chance.

Be sure to enroll by March 1st before registration closes HERE
