Drumming News :
At the 2026 NAMM Show, Drum Workshop, Inc. (DW) and DWe present a broad range of new products spanning hybrid drumming technology, limited-edition instruments, Custom Shop offerings, and streamlined hardware solutions. The new releases focus on expanding player choice, system integration, and practical flexibility for drummers working in acoustic, electronic, and hybrid environments.
DWe Ecosystem Expansion and Updated Kit Bundles – Learn more HERE
DW announces a significant expansion of the DWe ecosystem, introducing updated kit bundles with new drum module options, along with a newly developed side snare bundle. These additions are designed to provide drummers with more modular, scalable hybrid-drumming configurations.

All DWe 4-piece and 5-piece bundles feature DW Collector’s Series 333™ Maple shells, factory-equipped with fully wireless internal triggers powered by DrumLink, DW’s patented wireless triggering system. DrumLink allows players to build or expand hybrid kits incrementally, without traditional cabling between components.
Kit Configurations
Two bundle configurations are available:
4-Piece Configuration
- 9×12″ mounted tom
- 12×14″ floor tom
- 14×20″ bass drum
- 5×14″ snare drum
5-Piece Configuration
- 8×10″ and 9×12″ mounted toms
- 14×16″ floor tom
- 16×22″ bass drum
- 6.5×14″ snare drum
Each bundle includes a cymbal pack, a DW Soundworks software license, and a DW 5000 Series hardware pack.
Drum Module Options and Hybrid Integration
DWe kits can be paired with one of two Roland plug-and-play drum modules, offering different feature sets depending on the player’s needs.
- Roland V51 Module
Designed with a straightforward interface and streamlined menu navigation, the V51 module supports fast setup and ease of use for home practice, studio work, or compact hybrid rigs. - Roland V71 Module
Built for touring and production environments, the V71 offers balanced XLR and ¼” main outputs, along with eight balanced direct outputs for flexible routing in live or broadcast settings.
Both modules support expandable sound libraries through DW expansion packs via Roland Cloud Connect and integrate directly with DWe kits.
Cymbal Pack Options
Two cymbal solutions are available for DWe configurations:

- Roland V-Cymbal Pack
Includes three crash/ride pads and a hi-hat pad designed for natural movement and responsive playability. - DWe Metal Cymbal Pack
Features real metal cymbals, including 14″ hi-hats, two 16″ crash/rides, and an 18″ crash/ride. Each cymbal includes three trigger zones, maintaining the look and response of acoustic cymbals while enabling electronic integration.
DWe Side Snare Bundle
Also debuting at NAMM is the DWe Side Snare Bundle, centered around a compact 5×10″ maple snare drum that blends acoustic construction with electronic triggering capability. The snare is designed to integrate additional electronic hardware—such as the Roland SPD-SX Pro Multi-Pad—into both acoustic and DWe setups.
The bundle includes:
- DrumLink Wireless Hub
- DW Soundworks license
- Snare wires
- Mesh and mylar heads for quick acoustic-to-electronic conversion
Assignable sound triggering is handled through the digiMAG throw-off, allowing players to expand their sound options without altering their core setup.
