Classic Rock Band ‘All on Board’ for Possible Tour, Says Drummer Rikki Rockett

Drumming News :

Fans of classic rock group Poison may finally have reason to celebrate. Drummer Rikki Rockett says the band is aligned and hopeful about touring again in the near future.

In a recent interview on “Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk,” Rockett told listeners he expects the band to hit the road to celebrate the anniversary of their debut album, Look What the Cat Dragged In. While the tour won’t happen in 2026, Rockett said discussions are now focused on 2027.

Rockett’s comments follow earlier tension after he suggested singer Bret Michaels stalled plans over financial demands — a claim Michaels later denied. Rockett clarified that rumors surrounding health issues or band members not wanting to work were false.

“We do wanna work, all of us do,” Rockett said, emphasizing that guitarist C.C. DeVille is sober and that he himself does not have cancer. He added that negotiations never progressed far enough to become formal, leading to confusion among fans.

Looking ahead, Rockett said the band is unified. “I know Bobby wants to do it, I talk to C.C. all the time. We’re all on board.”

If the tour happens, it would mark the 41st anniversary of Poison’s breakout album — and a long-awaited return to the stage for the veteran rockers.

Additionally, Rockett will be sporting his new Rogers set for the tour, a departure from his history with Pearl, DW, Yamaha, and his own company.
