British Drum Company Announces Exciting New Collaboration Between Alan Kitching and Nicko McBrain

Drumming News :

Earlier this year, at the much-anticipated Legacy of the Royals snare drum presentation—held at Nicko McBrain’s renowned Drum One store—British Drum Company (BDC) unveiled the beginning of an exciting new chapter. It was officially announced that Alan Kitching, BDC’s Design Engineering Manager, and Iron Maiden’s legendary drummer Nicko McBrain are joining forces to develop a brand-new, as-yet-unnamed range of drum hardware products. The launch is set for January 2027.

Alan Kitching, known as the visionary behind BDC’s acclaimed Palladium and Casino hardware lines, brings decades of design and engineering experience to the table. With a BSc (Hons) in Industrial Design and Technology and 15 years as a senior design consultant, Alan’s career spans a diverse range of innovative manufacturing projects. He’s also co-founder of Bullet & Kitch Ltd, a company that develops advanced drum pedals and custom hardware solutions.

“It was a real pleasure to see Alan—the genius behind the Casino and Palladium lines—at the Legacy of the Royalsevent,” the company said. “We’re thrilled to announce that Alan is teaming up with BDC once again, joining forces with Nicko on an exciting new project.”

Nicko McBrain, who has been a prominent figure at the British Drum Company since 2020, is no stranger to collaboration. As BDC’s International Ambassador, he’s debuted custom kits including the iconic “Icarus” and “Legacy of the Beast.” His deep involvement in this new project ensures that the hardware will be designed to meet his exacting standards and unique performance needs.

The upcoming product line is expected to feature cutting-edge hardware tailored to McBrain’s style, promising not only innovation but also the unmatched performance and quality that BDC is known for.
