Sonic ReVision, maker of the BOOM CRD® (Compound Resonance Driver) bass drum accessory, has announced that the original BOOM has been upgraded to the BOOM XD. The new model of the groundbreaking device features an extra-strong magnetic mounting system that provides up to 25% more gripping force than the original BOOM at no additional cost.
The XD model has been developed to meet the needs of normal playing conditions as well as high-volume, high-intensity drumming applications— providing increased security when mounted on any standard bass drumhead. It is also effective with thicker single-ply and double-ply resonant-side (front) bass drumheads. Like the original BOOM, it is removable, reusable and highly-effective in adding depth and punch to any bass drum’s sound.
