New for PAS: the University Pedagogy Committee Workshop. The purpose of the Pedagogy Workshop is to attract, learn from, develop, collaborate, and foster new strategies in percussion pedagogy. The workshop will provide opportunities for networking as well as professional development. Individuals can apply to give a Presentation on Percussion Pedagogy (P.O.P.P.), participate in hands-on, small group discussions, and be a participant in mock interviews. While there is no additional fee to attend the UPC Workshop, you must register to attend PASIC.

Apply by May 31, 2022, to give a Presentation on Percussion Pedagogy.

P.O.P.P. will provide pre-tenured university faculty members – including part-time and adjunct faculty members – and doctoral candidates with the opportunity to present research. Application to POPP is limited to pre-tenured faculty and graduate students. Eligible individuals may apply to present on a wide array of pedagogical topics. Applicants must have an active PAS Membership.

The University Pedagogy Committee promotes and enhances the exploration, improvement, elevation, and facilitation of the craft of percussion at every level of college teaching.
