Meinl Cymbals is pleased to welcome Lang Zhao to our family of artists. Lang lives in Los Angeles, CA where he works as a drummer, composer, and author. In 2019, Lang teamed up with Yas Nomura and released their self-titled debut album as The Resonance Project for which Lang wrote, orchestrated, and played drums. It quickly received praise from listeners and prog icons in addition to being covered by Prog Magazine, Drumhead, Billboard Japan, and other media. In addition to his work as a drummer and composer, Lang has published two books about linear drumming, mind-body connection, and phrasing. Currently Lang is working on The Resonance Project’s second album, which is to be released in 2022.
