ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The sight and sound of dozens of competitive drum corps will return to Rochester in 2022 and 2023.
Visit Rochester announced Tuesday that the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) has selected Rochester as the host for DCA’s 2022 and 2023 World Championships.
For some perspective, the World Championships are the “Super Bowl” of competitive drum corps competitions.
The event should bring about five to six thousand people to the city over Labor Day weekend. The competition will be held at the Rochester Community Sports Complex.
Visit Rochester says the DCA has visited the city more times in its 50 plus year history than any other city.
