Mike Portnoy releases drum cam footage of Transatlantic’s “The Absolute Universe”

The progressive rock supergroup Transatlantic featuring members Mike Portnoy, Neil Morse, Roine Stolt, and Pete Trewavas, released “The Absolute Universe” on February 5, 2021. The album is released in three different formats: a 64-minute abridged version entitled The Breath of Life, a 90-minute extended version entitled Forevermore and the 96-minute ultimate version that combines parts of both the abridged and extended versions.

For years Mike has been releasing DVDs and digital videos of him recording his drum tracks for many of his records.  This format offers any drummer the opportunity to see how an artist performs, records, and then hear the final mix of a given recording.

Mike’s drum cam footage from the recording sessions of Transatlantic’s album(s) The Absolute Universe is no exception. This is a unique version combines both versions “The Breath Of Life” and “Forevermore” with audio options that include: a Full Band Mix, isolated Drums & MP Vox, and Headphone Mix (Stereo combo of both).

The tracks include:

OVERTURE, REACHING FOR THE SKY, HIGHER THAN THE MORNING, THE DARKNESS IN THE LIGHT, TAKE NOW MY SOUL, BULLY, RAINBOW SKY, LOOKING FOR THE LIGHT, THE WORLD WE USED TO KNOW, THE SUN COMES UP TODAY, LOVE MADE A WAY (PRELUDE), OWL HOWL, SOLITUDE, BELONG, LONESOME REBEL, LOOKING FOR THE LIGHT (REPRISE), THE GREATEST STORY NEVER ENDS, LOVE MADE A WAY
