Jazz legend Peter Erskine introduces his latest signature snare, the TAMA Peter Erskine Jazz 10 (PE1045M), a compact 10” × 4.5” drum designed to deliver exceptional articulation, rich tonal depth, and expressive versatility.
Featuring a unique hybrid shell made from four plies of spruce and two inner plies of maple, the Jazz 10 produces warm, rich mids and articulate highs. Its standout feature is a Sound Focus Ring on the batter side only, an original concept developed by Erskine to provide a crisp attack, clear definition, and an open, full-bodied tone without sacrificing the character of a piccolo-sized snare.
The Star-Cast Mounting System allows the shell to resonate freely, delivering impressive depth and sustain while offering exceptional setup flexibility. Its compact size makes positioning easy across a variety of configurations, including setups using tom arms or clamps. Die-cast hoops further enhance the drum’s sharp, solid rim-shot response.
Complete with 20-strand Starclassic Carbon Steel Snare Wires and a hand-signed artist sticker inside the shell, the Jazz 10 combines thoughtful design with a personal touch from one of jazz’s most respected drummers.
