Drumming News :
Joey Cassata, who played drums on Ace Frehley’s final original solo album 10,000 Volts, has confirmed he will sit behind the kit for Twisted Sister’s fall 2026 shows featuring Sebastian Bach on lead vocals.
Cassata shared the news on social media, saying he was “super excited and beyond honored” to play with the “legendary band,” adding that he has been a fan since he was eight years old.
Twisted Sister previously embarked on its farewell run, the “Forty and F@#k It” tour, in 2016 following the 2015 death of longtime drummer A.J. Pero at age 55. Mike Portnoy filled in on drums for that trek, while Joe Franco — who played with the band from 1986 to 1988 and also performed in Dee Snider’s solo band Widowmaker — had been announced to return for Twisted Sister’s planned 2025–2026 activity. However, on February 5, 2026, the band cancelled its entire world tour due to health issues affecting Dee Snider. The following day, Snider confirmed he had left Twisted Sister because of what he described as “health challenges.”
On March 3, the band revealed plans to return to the road later in 2026 with former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach handling lead vocals, while Joey Cassata was announced as the group’s new touring drummer. No official statement has been given regarding Franco’s absence from the lineup.
