EVANS Drumheads announces the MS5 Marching Snare Side, a new line extension built to deliver enhanced snare response and a more open tonal quality for marching applications. The MS5 is a durable 5mil single-ply snare side drumhead made with aramid fiber and a polyester laminate. This construction provides maximum articulation, enhanced snare response, and clarity for every player, especially when paired with high-tensile fiber batter heads.
Engineered for Open, Resonant Snare Response
Derived from EVANS’ existing MX5 marching snare side drumhead, the MS5 removes the overtone control ring found in the MX5 design. This allows the head and snare assembly to vibrate more freely, producing a more open, resonant sound while maintaining control and articulation in even the most demanding marching environments.
