The first annual Zildjian US Young Drummer Of The Year competition took place this past weekend, wrapping up with an unforgettable live show in Nashville on October 12, 2025. This exciting new U.S. edition of the long-running UK competition brought together 10 incredibly talented finalists from across the country, all showcasing their skills in front of a live audience and a panel of esteemed judges.
A huge congratulations to Larry Simmons IV, who was crowned the 2025 US Young Drummer Of The Year! His performance brought energy, creativity, and precision to the stage, earning him top honors and setting the bar high for future competitions.
Also, a big round of applause to all the finalists who put on such an awesome show. It was incredible to witness so much talent in one room—every performer brought something unique and inspiring to the stage.
