Pound Fit Event:
March 4th the SHE ROCKS: POUND x Hit Like a Girl Kick-off Event took place in Los Angeles California. The free all-ages event was to celebrate their (Pound, Hit Like A Girl Contest) collective mission to inspire + empower young women through drumming + movement!
Attendees were able to participate in a 30-minute master class with ICON Amber Bruehl + Curtis Byrd on drums, A Panel discussion led by POUND Founder + CEO, Kirsten Potenza and featuring Alyssa DeCaro (Founder of Body of Sound), Arianna Monge (Health + Wellness Director for Remo) and Megan Spencer (Musician/Prof Drummer), and special performances by guest drummers.
Pound was founded in 2011, POUND is an international fitness brand known for its addictive programming that fuses drumming and movement to create a fitness concert-like experience. Founder and CEO Kirsten Potenza cultivated a brand and community that stands behind its pillars of mental health, inclusivity, community, and self-expression. Today, POUND offers three different programs and serves a passionate global community through its nearly 30,000 POUND instructors, 8,000 venue partners, and on-demand platform (POUND Backstage).

Emma Ford: Australia
Emma Ford is an Australian-born Drummer and Percussionist currently based in New York City.
Emma is a professionally trained jazz musician with a broad range of experience across a number of genres. She is currently the drummer for Paradise Square on Broadway.
Alexdra Kreeger: United States
TikTok personality and drummer who rose to fame by sharing covers and performances on her alkreeger account. She’s gained more than 1 million followers on the platform. In June of 2021, she took a popular TikTok sound and added in her own beat. The video went viral with more than 8 million views in total.

Zoë Brecher: United States
Based in New York City, Zoë started drumming when she was 10 years old, performing in jazz bands from middle school through high school. For seven years, each Friday night, she studied with a teacher who taught her the importance of groove and feel above all else and this is central to her philosophy and how she plays today. Her teacher also revered Ringo Starr’s artistry, an admiration she shares – along with Ringo’s preference for Ludwig.
Recently Zoë played drums with Bruce Springsteen for four nights during his special takeover of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. On the last night, she double-drummed with Questlove. Working with The Boss was magical for her, but also the result of hard work, dedication, and discipline.
Aside from playing in Springsteen’s Nightshift band on The Tonight Show, she has played with Mark Ronson, Benson Boone, Oberhofer, Sad13, King Tuff, Sasami, Palehound, Sammus and Caroline Rose. You may have also seen Zoë on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, and the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Over the years, Zoë has learned that the drum community is a tight, supportive and deeply caring part of the music world. She cherishes that and the privilege to contribute to works of art.
